Eight birders participated in the Pepper Creek Trail Walk on January 11th. Despite the cloudy and chilly, damp weather, we were able to identify 26 species. Robins abounded. Every time we looked up, more and more were flying over. We estimated 350 during the trip.
Other notable sightings included good looks at a Pileated Woodpecker, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet which was a life bird for Maria and 28 Wood Ducks on Pepper Creek at the end of the walk. Next trip here will be February 8, 2025.
